Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Operations for NxtWave Abroad. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from lead generation to VISA processing. The ideal candidate will ensure that every stage is aligned with company objectives, executed with precision, and delivers exceptional outcomes for students.
This role requires excellent leadership, an understanding of international education processes, and the ability to manage multiple teams to drive success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the Entire Product Cycle:
End-to-End Management: Lead and manage the entire product cycle from Lead Generation to VISA Processing, ensuring smooth transitions between stages.
Goal Alignment: Ensure that the goals of every phase are aligned with company objectives, and that all teams are aware of their respective roles and responsibilities in the overall process.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Senior Business Development Managers: Work closely with Senior BDMs to ensure that both Lead Generation and Qualification stages are on track and yielding quality results.
Program Managers: Collaborate with the Program Managers responsible for steps from Consultancy Onboarding to VISA approval, making sure performance metrics are met.
3. Seamless Execution Across Departments:
Departmental Synergy: Ensure clear communication and collaboration between departments handling Lead Generation, Qualification, Course Enrollment, Consultancy Onboarding, Admit Letters, Loans, and VISA Processing.
Process Optimization: Identify any gaps or bottlenecks between departments and drive efforts to streamline processes, ensuring an efficient workflow.
4. Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
KPI Tracking: Monitor KPIs for each phase of the product cycle to ensure target goals are met and that the entire process operates within predefined timelines.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve processes, ensuring continuous optimization of the student journey and maximization of conversion rates.
5. Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
Team Leadership: Direct and manage cross-functional teams, providing guidance, support, and accountability to ensure each team delivers on their objectives.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify challenges and lead cross-functional teams to resolve them efficiently, driving improvements in both process and student experience.
6. External Partnerships & Stakeholder Management:
Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders, including educational institutions, financial organizations, and government agencies.
Partnership Development: Build and manage key partnerships that support students through their international education journey, from application to VISA approval.
7. Operational Strategy & Development:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies to maximize student success rates, enhance the student experience, and meet business objectives.
Operational Efficiency: Evaluate and refine processes to ensure operational efficiency and a high standard of service throughout the student’s journey.
8. Data-Driven Decision Making:
Use data and performance metrics to make informed decisions that drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational & Professional Experience:
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in business development, business operations, program management, or educational consultancy, with a strong focus on international student services.
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in any related field. Specialization in international education is a plus.
Key Competencies:
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple departments, ensuring accountability and performance across the board.
Operational Excellence: Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stage operational processes with an emphasis on student success.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and implement effective operational strategies that drive success at each stage of the product cycle.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Skills:
Data Analysis: Proficiency in tracking KPIs, using data analytics tools to measure performance, and implementing data-driven process improvements.
Project Management: Expertise in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to manage operational tasks across multiple teams.
Industry Knowledge:
International Education: Experience with international admissions, educational consultancy, VISA processes, and knowledge of global higher education systems.
Student Services: A deep understanding of the student lifecycle, from application to final VISA approval, and a strong commitment to enhancing student success.
