Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President - Sales to lead and elevate our sales efforts, driving significant revenue growth in the highly competitive edtech market. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in sales leadership, with a strong emphasis on developing and executing sales strategies, customer acquisition, and market analysis within the Indian edtech industry. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a frugal mindset, a proven track record of building high-performing teams, and a relentless focus on achieving and exceeding business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Formulate and execute robust sales strategies that align with NxtWave’s ambitious growth plans. Prioritize revenue generation, market expansion, and competitive positioning within the edtech sector.

  • Revenue Leadership: Spearhead the sales team to consistently meet and surpass revenue goals. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities while refining sales processes to optimize performance and conversion rates.

  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior. Use these insights to adapt and refine sales strategies, ensuring NxtWave’s continued market leadership.

  • Customer Acquisition & Retention: Design and implement innovative customer acquisition and retention strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

  • Outcome-Focused Leadership: Establish clear, measurable goals and KPIs for the sales team. Regularly assess performance, provide strategic guidance, and ensure alignment with NxtWave’s overarching mission and objectives.

  • Team Development & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and develop a world-class sales team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

  • Frugal Operations: Champion cost-efficient sales initiatives, ensuring maximum return on investment without compromising on the quality of outcomes. Effectively manage resources to drive sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role within the edtech or a related industry.

  • Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a competitive, fast-paced market.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian edtech landscape, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitive strategies.

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

  • Ability to blend strategic vision with tactical execution, leading by example and driving results.

  • Frugal mindset with a focus on resource optimization and efficiency.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.

  • Passion for education and a deep commitment to NxtWave’s mission to empower students across India.
